Research Internships at Microsoft provide a dynamic environment for research careers with a network of world-class research labs led by globally-recognized scientists and engineers. Our researchers and engineers pursue innovation in a range of scientific and technical disciplines to help solve complex challenges in diverse fields, including computing, healthcare, economics, and the environment.

Responsibilities

Interns put inquiry and theory into practice. Alongside fellow doctoral candidates and some of the world’s best researchers, interns learn, collaborate, and network for life. Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to exciting research and development strides. During the duration of their internship, students are paired with their advisors/mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student in University in computer science, electronic engineering, math, physics or closely related fields
• This position requires that you are physically located in mainland China for the duration of the internship
• Must be approved and supported by your university advisor

Preferred Qualifications

• Has shown a broad understanding of varied approaches to their field by working alongside of Microsoft Research Asia’s mentors
• Has been noted for creativity and originality in research

• At least one publication in their field of study or is working on a publication for the future
• Students from MSRA research related areas are encouraged to apply
