    Job Description Summary

    Would you like to work within SME & Mid Corporates and help businesses of all types and sizes to prosper by offering the funding, support and encouragement they need to grow, at home or abroad.

    An opportunity exists for a Relationship Director for our SME & Mid Corp business where clients will typically have a turnover of between 10 million and 25 million pounds. You will have a portfolio of approximately 50 Local Banking SME clients based in and around Essex and Hertfordshire.

    You will be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services.

    There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, by attracting high value clients, through becoming the go to banking professional within your local community. Promoting the bank with the wider professional community and key influencers in your local area. Developing the business opportunities these connections can bring.

    As well as this you will be responsible for handling the risk and compliance of the portfolio. You will also be seen as an integral senior member of your local team, providing support,
    counsel and experience to colleagues and management alike.

    What we'll need from you:

    You'll need to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the following:

    • Supporting sustainable business growth – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mind set to focus on client outcomes.
    • Growing market share of Clients & Lending - Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships.
    • Providing outstanding knowledge of clients - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and handling associated risks
    • People – With a growth mindset you'll be keen to adopt and use key tools that enhance the client experience and demonstrate the value a face to face Relationship Manager brings to a client’s business.
