Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the College Registrar is a key member of the Principal’s senior administrative team. The incumbent will lead the Junior Fellowship programs and activities, communications to Junior Fellows and support the administration related to the recruitment, application and admission process including the scholarship and bursary program, and residence management.
The Junior Fellowship includes up to 60 residents and 70 non-residents annually, with approximately 30 new Junior Fellows selected each year. These graduate and professional program students are a diverse, intellectually curious group, representing a breadth of academic disciplines and interests.

Key Responsibilities
The College Registrar is responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategic communication plans for outreach and recruitment of prospective Junior Fellows;
- Managing all recruitment, application and admission process of new and returning Junior Fellows;
- Administering the College’s scholarships and bursary programs;
- Representing administration in assisting Junior Fellows in order to develop strong educational, social, and leadership development-oriented co-curricular programs and activities to enhance student life at Massey College;
- Planning and management of the College mentorship program and Junior Fellows program;
- Management of the College Directory, ensuring contact information for Junior Fellows, mentors, program leaders and Fellows transitioning to alumni are accurate and complete;
- Participating and supporting the organization of College-related events such as orientation, High Table, dinners and special events;
- Developing communication plans with respect to issues of importance to Junior Fellows at Massey College;
- Management of the student life operating budget;
- Social media co-management for community building and SEO optimization;
- Website content co-management.
Skills and Experience
- A post-graduate degree in Adult Education, Student Affairs, Student Development, Student Services or related field or acceptable combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience in a post-secondary administrative role in student service or student affairs area, working with students and faculty
- Experience managing complex records systems and databases, strong project management skills;
- Demonstrated record of commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and the promotion of a collegial learning and working environment
- Must be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills at the strategic and operational levels, as well as exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills
- Superb interpersonal and change management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and develop strong working relationships with Junior Fellows, co-workers, senior management of the College, volunteers, and partner organizations
- Must be a consensus builder with top notch team-building, conflict management, and investigation skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Experience managing operating budgets
- Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive personal and operational information
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to enhancing the quality of the student experience at the post-secondary level
- Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity working with spreadsheets and student information databases
- Experience with Wordpress and web design an asset.
