The General Surgical Department delivers secondary elective and acute services to the population of Counties Manukau region with a range of tertiary services including Vascular, Upper Gastrointestinal, Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine.

Surgical acutes, trauma and some complex elective surgery is provided on the Middlemore Hospital campus. The General Surgical Department works with a commitment to providing a high standard of professional and innovative practice to our community and strives to improve patient outcomes.

Ward 9 is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse with a passion for General Surgery Nursing. To succeed you will have a desire to learn, the ability to think on your feet and multi-task. This is a fast paced and challenging environment where only the highest standard of patient centred nursing care will suffice.

You will need to bring humour, laughter and compassion and be prepared to transform the lives of your patients’ everyday.

 Essential:

• New Zealand Registered Nurse
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Minimum of 1 years post registration experience in General Surgery
