Why choose South Canterbury DHB?
Whether it's workplace safety or work/life balance, we understand there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to hauora (well-being), which is why we have a range of initiatives to look after the professional development and personal needs of our kaimahi (staff).
As one of the country-s smaller DHBs our people always have room to move and grow - you-ll get a wider exposure to specialties and enjoy the benefits of a flat structure: processes that run smoothly and a fun, friendly culture. With us, you-re more than just a number; you-re part of a team where everyone knows your name.
If you-re local to the area, you-ll be familiar with all the hidden gems of Timaru. But if you-re considering the move from further afield, you-ll soon find out why it-s one of the country-s best kept secrets: between the beach and the mountains, work-life balance is truly achievable here. You-ll join a tight-knit community that will make you feel at home from the get-go, and be able to access all the adventure of the wild South Canterbury back drop, without being far from a city when you-re craving that bit of bustle.
At SCDHB, integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We are a proudly diverse team, as we know a diverse and inclusive workforce achieves the best outcomes for our patients and communities. If you share in these core values and bring them into every aspect of your patient care, we can-t wait for you to join us.
