The Company

Our client is a global dental manufacturer and one of the largest suppliers of quality dental products across the world. They provide high value-added products that improve oral health, and that are environmentally friendly, as well as patient friendly. 

On their behalf, we are seeking search for an experienced Territory Manager, to manage a portfolio of customers in Auckland, Northland, Waikato and BOP locations.

This will be a busy position that will suit a motivated, relationship focused salesperson, who will bring their relentless energy to grow the spend of their dental customer base, ensuring all opportunities to deliver opportunities for revenue growth and brand presence are maximised.

This is a true relationship focused, account management role where you will ensure that your customers receive only the most outstanding service, product training, and product supply.

Ideally, we would be keen to attract someone who has the dental knowledge to enable them to not only sell new Products to dental professionals but guide them on techniques and applications.

The Role

  • Increase sales through effective, knowledgeable, and innovative selling to exceed territory targets
  • Perform presentations and demonstrations to dentists, dental personnel, and distributor sales team to educate, promote and sell products
  • Continually develops product knowledge to eb able to guide and advise customers on product choices.
  • Build mutually beneficial working relationships with our distributor sales representatives
  • Plan co- calling visiting with sales team of distributors
  • Build long term relationships with Practice Manager and Dentists
  • Manage a large call cycle. Overnight travel is involved
  • Ensure you understand the requirements of each customer and cater for these
  • Review customers historic spend. Plan customer specific sales strategies to ensure growth
  • Aim to grow customer spend across all categories – increase share of wallet
  • Pursue all opportunities to increase the introduction of new products 
  • Ensure CRM activity is detailed and kept up to date
  • Participate in trade shows and functions
  • Actively support marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Actively participate in inhouse education and training sessions.
  • Be a brand ambassador, always promoting brand awareness 

About You: 

  • A strong passion for dentistry and a good understanding of techniques and terminology
  • Previous experience in the dental industry in some shape or form would be great
  • A highly motivated and resourceful individual who can work without direct supervision 
  • Has a strong customer focus, takes pride in delivering exceptionally high levels of service
  • Ability to positively influence customers purchasing behaviours.
  • Understands how to apply pricing, margins, and customisation of individual customer proposals.
  • Ability to plan a call cycle to cover a wide territory and customer base.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Innovative, thinking “outside the box” and challenge the status quo.
  • Will strive to promote all product ranges and introduce customers to new products
  • Proactive use of CRM. Maintains client notes and records. 
  • MS Office skills
  • Enjoys travel and able to do overnights when necessary

The Rewards

  • Base salary between $80K - $95K negotiable on experience 
  • Car allowance up to $25K 
  • Annual bonus up to $30K for achieving annual targets
  • In addition, a further quarterly bonus is also available to be achieved.
  • On target earnings of up to $130K
