My client is a highly successful family-owned organisation, specialising in manufacturing a time critical product for the commercial and residential building sectors. The company is seeing unprecedented growth year on year, achieved via strong service delivery and operational performance.

  Here is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to take on a region with plenty of potential for improvement and ongoing growth. We’re looking for a strong mentor of people – someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets in the trenches when required, along with strong sales and operational focus. This is without doubt a role that will challenge you and utilise all of your skills!  

About the role:

  • Lead with trust and integrity - ensure long term profitable growth in the Wellington and surrounding regions, with multiple sites and 40+ staff
  • Review current operations in order to improve and streamline the business, via continuous improvement strategy
  • Build a culture of success - mentor your direct reports and ensure the business is attracting and growing great people
  • Manage your region’s P&L, targets and budgets
  • Attract new customers via networking and utilising key relationships
  • Develop successful long-term relationships with senior level customers
  • Ensure your region has strong branding, sales, marketing and promotional activities
  • Ensure operational excellence and champion health and safety

About you: 

  • You’re a strong leader with proven experience - delivering results via clear expectations, coaching and mentoring
  • You come from a time critical manufacturing/heavily operational background – building products experience would be desirable, but is not essential
  • You consider yourself to be an all-rounder – enjoying both external client and internal stakeholder interactions
  • You can demonstrate strong revenue and profit growth in previous roles
  • You have strong financial management skills
  • You are a passionate advocate of health & safety
