Highcroft Referrals
Exciting new hybrid Day/Night Referral Nurse Role
We know how important it is to have excellent overnight care for our referral patients but that a role that only provides night hours can be isolating. This exciting new role is able to provide the benefits of a night role, such as regular weeks off, alongside the benefits of a daytime referral nurse role providing interesting experience and maintaining knowledge in referral level procedures. This position will work on a 4 week rotation working day shifts, late shifts (until 8.30pm) and night shifts with a full week off every rotation and would suit a referral nurse with an interest in emergency work.
Highcroft Referrals is in an exciting phase of growth and expansion with a move to a new hospital planned for Summer 2022 (to find out more click here). This role will be the progenitor of our ICU provision at this new flagship fully multidisciplinary hospital and all of our services will be moving with us. By joining our team you will have access to state of the art facilities, a wide range of cases and a team that we are very proud of, vets, nurses and support staff, each one key in making us who we are, one of the leading small animal referral hospitals in the UK.
YOU are highly regarded, passionate about patients, owners and colleagues and most importantly you are proud of your profession and understand how essential nurses are in the patient journey. This is how we feel about our nursing team at Highcroft veterinary referrals.
We proudly support our nurses with CPD, providing a wide range of in house CPD and have a flexible budget per nurse, agreed on a case by case basis, to allow our nurses to embark upon further qualifications and certifications. In particular we keen to support progression to VTS level for any of our nurses.
We understand that accepting a new role is a big decision, so we encourage extended interviews or spending the day with us to see how we work and will allow you a much more thorough experience of us, and to make you comfortable that we are the right fit for you. (Subject to Covid-19 restrictions)
If you are considering moving into the area Bristol is vibrant and beautiful with countryside and city living within 15 minutes of the practice, but we encourage you to come and see that for yourself.
This position is part of a new team development at Highcroft Referrals, although the full night rota will not start until January we would be happy to accommodate start dates from November to allow integration into the team and training if required.
