POSITION DECRIPTION:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Recruitment Assistant will support the overall recruitment, onboarding and corporate orientation processes as well as perform data entry for HR systems such as the HRIS, process new hire and transfer paperwork and respond to HR inquiries as required. There is also opportunity to participate in continuous improvement projects as per our lean methodologies.
This position will also provide back-up coverage for reception services and contributes to the delivery of day-to-day HR services in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
HOURS:
The successful candidate will work Monday – Friday (37.5 hours weekly) with a willingness to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides the highest level of customer service to all visitors, staff and others who attend HR.
- Oversees the virtual onboarding process and ensures online onboarding packages and contents are issued efficiently and completed in a timely manner by newly hired staff
- Support new staff with questions regarding utilization of the onboarding software and requirements.
- Support corporate orientation ensuring completion of appropriate documentation and follow up with staff are required.
- Assists recruitment by scheduling interviews, preparing interview packages, contacting applicants, completing paperwork and entering data into systems.
- Ensures appropriate data entry into the HRIS as required.
- Maintains and analyzes statistical data as required for the support of Human Resources.
- Provides administrative support to HR Team as required.
- Assists various HR projects and the HR Team as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Post-secondary certificate/diploma in Human Resources, Business or a related program from an accredited college.
- Previous related work experience in Human Resources with preference to those with relevant administrative and healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems (Talent Pool Builder preferred) preferred
- Advanced knowledge with HRIS Systems, Microsoft Office Software Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Experience and knowledge in all areas of HR practices with particular strengths in recruitment, onboarding, orientation and data management is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights, AODA, and Collective Bargaining process.
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, tact and an exceptional level of professionalism.
- Lean Yellow Belt Certification preferred.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence others and develop trusting relationships.
- Advanced ability to establish rapport quickly and collaborate effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and results-orientated.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety.

Successful candidates must provide evidence of a fully completed COVID-19 vaccination status prior to your first day of work.
