Maruia Hot Springs requires positive and friendly staff for reception with coffee making experience and food serving experience to join our Restaurant, Reception, Housekeeping and maintenance team, located on the Lewis Pass in the National Park. We are a Wellness resort so this person should lead a healthy lifestyle be into yoga and hiking and the outdoors, to represent our values and a common interest amongst staff.

This couple would be required to help serve in the cafe/restaurant, have good communication with customers and staff of different nationalities, answering the phone and using our computer accommodation booking system and greeting them to the resort. This person should also have a good eye for detail, initiative and willing to take on extra projects to move our business forward. Most impoortantly a friendly and welcoming smile as this person is often the first point of contact. 
Housekeeping and light maintenance is also required as part of our customer experience. It is great exercise while being paid!

 

Job Requirements:

This person should be flexible to help in the café, housekeeping shifts in the morning and restaurant as well. Hospitality experience is needed as we are looking to give the best experience possible to our customers and maintain our customer touch points.  Our aim is to provide excellent customer service and welcome customers to our natural hot water bathing experience.

We are  after a people who have had experience living in group situations in remote areas. Due to the number of staff that we have on site we can only cater to reasonable dietary requirements. Tertiary education is preferred as this is a commanality with our group and customer base. A genuine love for the mountains, tramping and of course hot springs bathing is a must given our location. 

Computer skills and attention to detail are required to operate our booking system and wifi internet system.

Pay can be evaluated based on performance and experience.

We provide accommodation and 2 basic meals per day for a weekly fee. 

Our property is completely off the grid which means that there is no cel phone reception. We have wifi via satellite and radio link telephone. The closest town of Reefton is 45 miniutes away. A car is necessary here to be able to get away on days off.

Must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
