Taylor Preston Ltd is a meat processor and exporter of lamb, mutton, goat, beef and associated by-products. Established in 1991 the Company is privately owned and located in the Ngauranga Gorge, 10 minutes from Wellington CBD.

If you are looking for a challenging career within the meat industry we have a great opportunity here for you as Quality Control Officer at Taylor Preston in Ngauranga gorge.

This is a key position at Taylor Preston, responsible for ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met throughout the production process in order to consistently deliver a safe high-quality product to customers.

Key tasks:

• Monitoring and reporting of Critical Control Points (CCP), Control Points and other key processing parameters
• Verification of online processes
• Ensure quality documentation and databases are maintained and accurate
• Assist in the investigation of customer complaints
• Reporting and eliminating non-conformances in process and/or product

You will need:

• Good attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• Knowledge of quality systems
• Good computer skills
• Experience in the meat industry or food processing
• To be a team player
• The ability to build strong and positive relationships with our management, and staff

This is an hourly rate position and the hours are varied depending upon production demands. There will be a requirement to work shift work (day and night). In the offseason, some time will be worked in the production rooms.
