You select what you would like to cook and we deliver the recipes and all the ingredients you need. We use technology to re-invent the food supply chain while reducing unethical food waste and directly connecting consumers with quality producers. In order to achieve this, we are solving challenging problems in taste profiling, behaviour prediction and real-time logistics.

Marley Spoon is currently operating in the US, Europe and Australia. We are currently looking for casual Quality Control Associates based in Bibra Lake Perth WA to help us grow Marley Spoon.

.Your role:

The Quality Control Associate works alongside and with the team, ensuring that all areas are ready for operation and that our food is of the utmost quality at all times. This position is under the direction of the FSQ Manager. You are responsible for following all safety, GMP and all company policies / procedures, as well as adherence to PPE / hygiene policies, in cooperation with the FSQ Manager site lead.

• Perform quality control checks and tasks to support the production / warehouse team and the entire facility, up to and including GMP enforcement, allergen control, food defence and line checks;
• Follow Marley Spoon policies and procedures;
• Occasionally required to communicate with other departments to collaborate and solve problems;
• Support and follow directions from supervisor or management and complete tasks with minimum supervision;
• Report all food safety and sanitation issues to an immediate supervisor;
• Aid in non-conformance identifications;
• Assist with any day to day tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Must be computer literate and a proficient-level user of Google-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive etc);
• Must be able to work Mondays through to Saturday, as operationally required;
• Able to work unlimited hours - 5.30am - 10pm (varied shifts available);
• Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment (2-5 degrees C);
• Must have COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (Triple Dose - Double Vaccinated + Booster);
• Food Science background / laboratory background is highly desirable;
• At least 6 months experience in Quality Control (food manufacturing) is highly desirable;
• Knowledge of fresh produce is is highly desirable;
• Self-starter with initiative, and great communication skills;
• Adapts well to changes that inevitably come along with an evolving business;
• Enjoy working in a production/warehouse environment.
