About this role
Our Wholesale business helps communications providers (CPs) and other organisations provide fixed or mobile phone services. Our ventures provide mass-market services like directory enquiries and payphones, and enterprise services including Fleet Solutions and BT Redcare. We also offer specialist enterprise services to our Internet of Things customers.
Corporate & Public Sector Sales function is focussed on driving value for customers of more than 100 employees. Customers at this level require a higher degree of intimacy with more complex solutions or integrations. We’ll be organised regionally to bring our field sales teams near to Enterprise’s customers – both current and potential. There is a dedicated team, with a national focus, for major public sector accounts – enabling us to manage our key Government and Defence relationships consistently and securely.
We’ve been using technology to help transform defence, Public Safety, Justice and central government. We’ve long been at the forefront of improving Major Government service delivery through visionary technological transformation, better enabling frontline workers, helping organisation innovate for change and protecting networks and data from cyber attacks. From major contracts like DFTS in defence, to enabling police forces and local authorities to work more effectively, securely sharing information and utilising key resources more effectively. Within Ministry of Justice we will consolidate on our position in the market and push forward with greater market share and profitability modernising the solutions that we provide for the courts and Prisons . You'll have the following responsibilities
· Develops and manage the pipeline of projects in a 1-5 year time-frame, to increase BT’s wallet share in high-potential accounts
· Builds stakeholder relationships and shaping customers need
· Grows pipeline and identify specific opportunities to be taken forward
· Identifies ~5 programs and Major Bid
· Develops long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. These could be at any level but should extend up to at least Director General
· Prioritise sales opportunities based on a qualification and assessment of resources required, cost of capture and likelihood of success
· Takes responsibility for lining up marketing campaigns – who do we target and influence
· Responsible for looking at segmentation of the market
· Collaborates and have a strong links to Account Managers, benefitting from shared knowledge and aligned aim
· Develops and nurtures long lasting relationship with the account management and wider business development teams to ensure potential opportunities of £xx or above for BT in the market are identified
· Proactively Identifies and gains a deep understanding of likely procurement routes and the process around them, including budgeting and signoff process and key stakeholders

You'll have the following skills & experience
· Commerical awareness: within specific market harness BT’s capabilities to identify, influence and successfully pursue key opportunities over the next 5 years
· Business acumen: Build and maintain a credible profile as an expert in the relevant market (e.g. speaking at sponsored events)
· Sales delivery: rigorously qualify and continuously make informed judgement on chance of winning deal, providing a ‘win rating’ to make comparisons with competitors so can identify whether to invest resources
· Sales strategies: In addition to Business Development, help inform BT’s future proposition and product development for the future based on emerging customer strategies and needs
· Relationship and stakeholder management: possess strong relationships with key stakeholders, knows their customers and are able to shape their needs to maximise chance of winning the deal and know the win price for the deal
Experience
· Advanced personal sales experience in Telco or Technology sectors with proven credibility to operate at xx-suite level within UK Private and, or Local Government sector
· Awareness of a range of selling techniques and a professionally recognised accreditation such as SPIN, NLP or similar ·
· Extensive experience advising if the deal is strategically and financially advantageous for BT or if it carries to high a risk to drive it forward
· Strong experience qualifying and developing the opportunities in a way that they’re uniquely suited to BT, facilitate the conversion of them into a profitable business
MANDATORY.
· Non-Police personnel vetting (NPPV) clearance required
