Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

This role is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of promotional activity for products and services across Superdrug within the UK and Ireland. The role also supports the business pricing position by analysing and communicating regularly and has two Marketing Executives as direct reports.  


A typical day in this role includes:

•Supporting the creation, communication, and accurate implementation of the businesses promotional plan, ensuring best in class customer service. 
•Coordinating Superdrugs price monitoring programme, creating relevant reports for communications across relevant stakeholders. 
•Manage the relationship with any external agencies for pricing and promotional monitoring.
•Working with external agencies to ensure promotional data is correctly received and distributed to the relevant teams and departments. Acting as a point of contact to drive future plans and initiatives.
•Work cross functionally to produce accurate communication documents to support implementation in-store. 
•Provide quality service to internal and external customer on all promotion, price and product related commercial activity 
•Regular use of the in house promotional main frame system, including - problem solving, investigation and development.
•Line management of the Promotion & Price Executives
•Manage the department in the absence of the Senior Promotion and Price manager.

•You have developed the ability to work in very fast paced and ever changing environments
•You are somewhat self motivated working to add value and looking for solutions rather than constant feedback
•You get satisfaction from problem solving - analysing the situation, working the problem and identifying a solution


What you’ll need:

•You will understand how to deal with complex scenarios and data to support problem solving
•You will have a good understanding of the retail landscape and the role of promotions and pricing within it
•You will have a high standard of excel knowledge and be very confident using various formulas
•You will have experience in working with large data sets and analysing them
•You will have experience of managing other people
