The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The Networks and Assets Branch looks after the assets that connect our communities and their purpose is to make regional and out metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit.
The opportunity
Right now we have a permanent opportunity for Project Officer with our Networks and Assets Branch within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan division and based at Wagga Wagga. This role supports the development, delivery and implementation of projects by providing support services to the engineering teams.
What you will be involved in
The successful candidate will:
Liaising with engineering teams to provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.
Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting quarterly reviews, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working group committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
About you
We are looking for a process-focused, individual who has experience providing project support, developing scopes, writing reports and ministerials within a large organisation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in project administration within a construction environment from development to delivery phase. You must have strong excel skills and financial project reporting acumen.
It is key that the Project Officer will be a skilled communicator who has experience in developing critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders
