About the Team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
Right now we are seeking a skilled Project Officer to join the Developer Works Unit, in a busy role
performing day-to-day project management, operational and administrative activities to support project specific and ongoing objectives in regard to Work Authorisation Deeds.
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
Identify and collate end user project requirement and research options for solutions using industry and SME sources.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
Manage to delivery of projects and coordinate the delivery of services to support Fleet outcomes.
Work cooperatively and demonstrate a continuous improvement and growth mind-set by contributing and testing ideas for improving work practices, collaborating with internal and external business areas, to achieve objectives and work outcomes.
Model collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate a diverse workforce, create an environment where people can create and thrive, or support people’s wellbeing.
This is a Temporary Fixed Term role until February 2024.

About you
Ideally you will have previous project management experience in a similar role and demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplinary areas (roads, bridges, rails and traffic controls signals), prioritising tasks and working towards deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. This role has numerous stakeholders including developers, internals design teams and SMEs, so it is crucial that you can engage with a diverse audience and deal with people at all levels. You will need to be able to build rapport and develop strong relations across internal and external sources and leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as influence and negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.
The team mainly work out of the Newcastle or Wollongong offices, so we welcome applications from either location, however we also encourage people regionally based in New South Wales to apply as we have flexible working arrangements available.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is USS8 ($104,18 to $111,796) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
