 The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.   

   The opportunity    

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the Program Management (Metro Projects) Tech & Innovation team in the Intelligent Systems branch to perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.

 This is a Fixed full-time position (up to 2 years), reporting to the Senior Manager Program, (Metro Projects). We’re a small team and work in a hybrid way with a mixture of working from home and in the office - based at Redfern. 

  What you will be involved in: 

• Provide a range of project management and support services
• Prepare and maintain project documentation
• Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations
• Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs
• Prepare complex correspondence, briefing notes and reports in relation to specific projects, initiatives and issues ensuring that submissions are accurate, timely and have appropriate signoffs
• Assist Program and Project managers with aspects of IT project planning, delivery, and financial management
• Model collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate a diverse workforce, create an environment where people can innovate and thrive, and support people’s wellbeing
