About the Team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
Right now we are seeking a skilled Project Manager to provide program management and related support activities, following the Regional Road Transfer and Road Classification Review, on the transfer of up to 15,000km of regional roads to the NSW Government as part of a broader package of support for local councils to better manage and maintain the rural road network and ensure the best outcomes for the community.
This role will assist in establishing and implementing streamlined procedures to ensure program management is delivered in a coordinated, cohesive, cost effective and timely manner.
This is a Temporary Fixed Term role until June 2023.
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
Coordinate the implementation of program management systems and processes for large projects, including maintaining program establishment, governance and reporting systems and processes.
Provide a range of program management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining documentation and implementing and monitoring plans, to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards.
Support stakeholder management processes, including preparing workshops, and provide support to stakeholders and engage with, influence and build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Oversee, and monitor the delivery of sub-programs, ensuring completion in accordance with relevant guidelines, quality, and deadlines, at or below budget
Maintain accurate and complete records of work activities, in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
Undertake secretariat role for the project workgroups and coordinate papers, related actions and follow up activity to ensure that milestones are achieved.

About you
You have project management experience in a similar role, are collaborative by nature, have superior stakeholder management skills and are able to build strong relationships at all levels. You will have effective communication skills and be able to maintain simple, consistent and transparent information on a large number of projects to enable effective delivery, encourage efficient input and assurance.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7 – ($106,086 to $118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
