About the team
The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are a dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.
The opportunity
TfNSW has several exciting opportunities for experienced Project Managers to join Easing Sydney Congestion Project Office (ESCPO) in the Infrastructure and Place Division. The successful applicants will be assigned to one of our teams under the Pinch Points Program or the Smart Motorways Program. The projects range in value from $1M to $100M. The home office for these positions is located in Parramatta.
The responsibilities and required experience for these positions include:
Efficient and effective project management, including:
controlling project budgets
reporting on project progress, cost and risk
manage quality and scope requirements to meet project objectives.
management of project teams and resources where required
Lead and manage the development of strategic, concept and detailed designs and other project documentation, including estimates and management plans.
Review and implementation of systems and strategies to ensure that a high-level of technical, environmental and quality management is achieved on all projects.

About you
To be successful in these positions, you will have successfully completed a four-year civil engineering degree from an Australian university. Equivalent overseas qualifications are acceptable if professionally recognised within Australia. You will also have demonstrated experience in managing major infrastructure or other complex projects such as roads, bridges and tunnels (where applicable). A strong knowledge of project implementation, including contract management, and project development, including environmental planning and assessment processes would be essential to success in this role.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is Engineering level 4 ($147,164- $157,022) plus superannuation, depending on the level of experience
