Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. About the team
The City and Southwest Project Delivery team is managing planning and construction of the Sydney Metro rail network from Chatswood in Sydney’s North, under Sydney Harbour, into the CBD and all the way through to Bankstown in Sydney’s South.
It’s a program of epic proportions which will bring together technical specialists, world-class technology and innovative ways of working to provide Sydney with better, faster and more reliable journeys.
The opportunity
The Trains, Systems Operations and Maintenance (TSOM) package is an integral part of the City & Southwest project. This Public-Private Partnership (PPP) oversees the delivery of the rail systems technologies for Sydney Metro.
Working closely with the Senior Project Managers and broader TSOM team, you will draw upon your prior experience managing large scale infrastructure to ensure contractors are delivering to schedule, mitigating project risks, with a strong focus on safe work practices.
The successful applicant will have proven experience in the delivery of one or more of Radio, SCADA, Signalling or Communications systems.

About you
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction or equivalent experience of large-scale brownfield rail infrastructure works in an urban environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of the structure of public and private transport industries in NSW, associated legislation and safety standards.
This position is identified as a Rail Safety Worker (RSW).
Salary and Benefits
This is a Transport Senior Service fixed term opportunity until the 21st of December 2024.
