The Division
The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. The Opportunity
We have multiple opportunities for IT Project Managers, in a Temporary fixed term full time contract, initially till 21st Sep 2023.
This role is based in Macquarie Park office with flexible work arrangements.
You will be delivering and managing multiple complex IT projects within clearly defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints and provide expert advice to facilitate the delivery of strategic priorities, drive efficiency and improve business and customer outcomes.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Develop, implement and manage a portfolio of complex projects and programs including developing business cases and project plans, procurements, establishing appropriate resourcing, governance, and meeting reporting requirements to achieve outcomes and meet requirements.
Drive end-to end process improvements and establish clear pathways to achieve improved customer and business outcomes across various TfNSW business units and key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders by gaining a thorough understanding of their technical and business requirements and using effective communication and liaison skills to provide advice on relevant projects.
Leading and directing multiple projects concurrently, managing delivery, scope control and change management.
Providing support to write Investment brief and Business cases by working with architect teams to scope and cost project solutions, including completing proposals.
Ensuring that the project delivers as-sold solution, remains within the baseline budget and is delivered on time – all whilst maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
Acting as a people and functional manager, and enabling project teams to deliver against their performance objectives

About You
To be successful in the role;
Minimum 10 + years’ experience as IT project manager who has successfully delivered complex IT projects of 1 Year lifecycle.
Demonstrated experience in project management delivering significant Integration platform as a service /reporting and Analytics platform as a service or any complex Platform as a service projects.
Experience in handing the end to end procurement process with internal stakeholders.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a customer organisation
Strong communications and ability to communicate at all levels.
Strong technical capabilities to understand the platforms and demonstrate their benefits to stakeholders.
Proven track record of Stakeholder engagement & management.
Ability to build relationships quickly, influence & negotiate.
Business partnering experience to provide great outcomes.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
