The Opportunity

Right now, we have an exceptional and unique opportunity for a strategic and savvy Project Manager to join the Customer Journey Planning Branch and support short- and long-term traffic and transport management proposals for major projects throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area. The projects you will work on add new infrastructure to the road and transport network and include special event and planned operations to operationally manage the impacts brought about by these roadwork or service changes which are taking place across Greater Sydney.

This role supports the CJP Operational Change Section in the delivery of its services and will also require a high level of stakeholder engagement, building strong working relationships to ensure best customer and community outcomes are achieved in-line with best practice and relevant protocols.

The Project Manager contributes towards the following day to day responsibilities:

• Evaluate and determine the effect of traffic and transport proposals from TfNSW, contractors and consultants, and developers on road and transport networks, by providing feedback and comment on proposals
• Providing operational support during planned changes, outages and disruptions to the networks
• Providing inputs during the investigation, planning, design and construction phase on projects and developments
• Provide support and assistance to team projects

About you

You are a self-motivated and passionate Project Manager with a strong operational background looking for an opportunity to be part of exciting projects including, Sydney Metro, Westconnex, the Warringah Freeway Upgrade and Beaches Link projectsand other major road and transport projects.

Ideally you will have experience in road and transport network planning, traffic management or transport operations including a good working knowledge of the Greater Sydney Road network and detailed knowledge of the Sydney transport network and geography.

You must be a team player and can work outside normal working hours on a regular basis. (Note that a special award applies to these positions which require an amount of out of hour’s weekday and weekend work).
