About the team
The Project Manager sits within the Customer and Service Excellence function of Transport Shared Services and is a member of the Service Improvement unit.
The Opportunity
The role is to be accountable for developing, managing, and delivering service and process improvement related projects within the branch and across the Corporate Services Division. TSS has an exciting pipeline of projects aimed to improve the customer experience which you could be part of!
What you will be involved in:
Assist the Directors and Senior Managers in evaluating internal customer’s business needs to contribute to strategic planning; designing and developing igh quality business solutions and other projects to deliver business improvement initiatives that deliver tangible business outcomes
Performing rigorous analysis to identify potential value creating opportunities, developing cohesive conclusions, and presenting key findings at the executive level
Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the program/ project, and deliverables are met.
Develop detailed project budget, and forecast cash flows/milestones from the approved budget, recommend approval of costs and variations, monitor and control project costs and report on expenditure.
Manage the project governance and provide timely reporting
In some cases may be accountable for multiple and complex work assignments, project budgets, delivering within timeframes, and short/long term resource planning and provide guidance to a team of Consultants, Analysts or peers

About you
Typically requires 6-10 years’ experience in relevant specialised business areas and or consulting, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in consulting, engagement/project management, and/or business and resource management
Tertiary qualification in Business Management or relevant discipline
Demonstrated success in a team environment
Process design and project management qualifications and/or extensive experience essential
Advanced knowledge of Project best practice and methodologies such as Agile, PMP, PRINCEII
Highly evolved written and verbal communication skills
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and colleagues at various levels of seniority
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, based in Burwood however we are working flexibly as per the Transport Hybrid model.
