About the team
The Technology and Innovation Branch sits withing the Customer Strategy and Technology division. Our purpose is to imagine and build innovative solutions to deliver an experience our customers love.
We’re delivering ‘Mobility as a Service’ programs to bring to life the Future Transport Connected Journeys experience. Our focus is providing customers with all the information they need to seamlessly plan, book, pay, travel and provide feedback.
The opportunity
Due to internal movements, we have an ongoing full-time opportunity for a Project Manager to join us in the Connected Journeys team (flexible working arrangements with our main offices across Sydney, Macquarie Park, and Parramatta).
The role plays a pivotal part in enhancing the customer experience for the Opal system, Transport Connect and the Opal Contactless payments and accounts management.
You’ll be working alongside partner branches such as our Customer System and Operations (CSO) and Customer Strategy and Experience (CSE), to deliver technology supporting the current Opal system and operation systems.
Develop and maintain multiple high quality project plans, schedules, and registers for a range of projects undertaken across the Connected Journeys team
Identifying opportunities for improvements across the Connected Journeys portfolio
Leading and supporting project teams, including highlighting dependencies, constraints, risks, and issues as required to drive achievement of overall objectives
Connect and partner with various stakeholders, ensuring requirements are identified and managed effectively and with appropriate engagement and communication

About you
You are a experienced Project/Delivery manager or a high performing Senior Project Coordinator looking for an opportunity do something different, and to dive into more meaningful projects that make a real impact to our communities.
You have a sound background in project management, good understanding of technical concepts/know-how, with proven skills in communication and organisation.
Key to your success in this role will be your exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to prioritise multiple moving projects to deliver within budget and on time.
If you’re qualified in Project Management – great! But this is not an essential to have. We’re looking for the right person to join our supportive, flexible, and dependable team.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9A ($138,670) – 9E ($155,309) per annum plus 10% superannuation and leave loading.
