About this role

The purpose of this role is to be accountable for few small to medium sized technical delivery or multiple simple technical deliveries. The role ensures the scope of delivery is understood by key stakeholders, that the technical solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and are achieved. Identify and implement changes to improve quality and reduce costs of the deliveries. Produce and agree technical delivery plan and manage dependencies

You'll have the following responsibilities

Identify pre requisites to technical deliveries and ensure that they are delivered

Identify when technical deliveries are at risk and take corrective action to resolve

Accountable for meeting committed finance figures for the technical deliveries 

Engage with clients and suppliers including internal stakeholders (regular stakeholder comms)

Regular reporting updates to advise of progress to all stakeholders

Supports engagement with third party suppliers on technical solution requirements 

Engagement with relevant stakeholders to agree post implementation testing, trial, pilot, launch plans as appropriate

Ensure all delivery agents review, size and commit to the delivery & costs of the design for the technical delivery

Responsible for ensuring the scoping of e2e testing

Manage RAG status and expectations of a technical delivery with relevant stakeholders

Work with Product Owner to align team with Product Vision, Sprint Goals etc.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Problem Solving: Must be able to proactively solve business problems that deal with uncertainty e.g. demand profile planning including location, skill and resource. Also some problems will be multi-platform wide, impacting multiple services or cross-portfolio solutions. Remove impediments for the squad while acting as a Scrum Master.

Stakeholder Management: Able to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs.

Be Agile:  Leads collaborative and agile ways of working through projects and programmes effectively managing changing priorities. Assist in ensuring that project remains on schedule and within cost constraints. Closely monitor the backlog and squad’s health and velocity.

Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences

Transformation: Able to manage long term changes and adapt to unit in line with the business. 

Good to have - Sound Tools Knowledge (HP ALM), JIRA

Good to have  - Sound knowledge of Change management processes

Must Have- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organisation reaching out when needed to resolve issues.

Good to have demonstrable and proven delivery management skills with a track record of successful deliveries.

Exposure to varied development methodologies – Waterfall, Agile.

Must show strength in negotiation both internally and externally to ensure successful resolution of issues prior to escalation, ensuring that the wider business imperative is not undermined. 

A clear understanding of the business imperatives and how they align with the wider company strategy

Experience of working as a Scrum Master, sound understanding of Scaled Agile.

CSM certification would be a plus.
