The opportunity

We have a fixed term full time opportunity (up to June 2024) for a Project Coordinator G 8 to join the Customer Strategy & Technology division in the Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS) branch in Strawberry Hills office. (Flexible work options)

SCATS enables cities around the world include Sydney optimise their transport networks in real-time, managing congesting and keeping over 1 billion people safe every day worldwide.

If successful, you will manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives

What you will be involved in,

• Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of
• projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodology.
• Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.
• Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.
• Manage a project team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes

About you

• You are an experienced, enthusiastic project co-ordinator with having technical experience assisting with the delivery of IT projects preferably in a complex organisation or another public sector department
• Experience using Jira, MS Project, Microsoft Office highly desirable
• You will have knowledge and exposure to project management methodologies and the ability to work across multiple projects whilst maintaining effective and responsive communications and support.
• Your organisation skills and ability to manage stakeholders will ensure that you are completing priorities and meeting deadlines within your work.
