Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Coordinator in the oil & gas sector in Calgary, Alberta. The Operations Engineering Projects group has a strong track record of delivering projects, over the past several years, for a diverse asset base which includes Pipelines, Storage Terminals and Production Facilities. This team also integral to the development and execution of Energy Optimization and ESG initiatives, which are focus areas for the business. The Candidate is expected to display self-motivation and Coordination/Reporting/Financial Control Skills required to continue to build upon the strong performance achieved to date. A typical day:

  • Maintain and monitor project progress/cost/risk data for each project.
  • Act as an interface with Project Controls Group to share project data and develop/update periodic Reporting Snapshots.
  • Maintain project trends for cost/schedule and update PMs. Develop and submit AFEs in consultation with PMs.
  • Attend Project Progress meeting with Operations/EPCM and other stakeholders and maintain/publish MOMs.
  • Create POs for service/equipment /material providers as directed by PMs. Create COs and AFE supplements as directed by PMs.
  • Scrutinize and advise PMs on accuracy of invoices for approval. Provide oversight to PDRs and compliance to requirements.
  • Work with Document Control for set up and easy access of EPCMs to Hub/Adept. Coordinate with all stakeholders, set up meetings, etc.
  • Get inputs from PMs and update bi-weekly Project Progress reports. Assist PMs to develop PSPs.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Degree/Diploma in in a Technical Discipline. A management Degree/Diploma desirable.
  • 1-2 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams in an efficient and collaborative manner.
  • Prepare basic financial and SCM Documentation as per PMCs procedures.
  • A proven track record of multitasking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Strong computer skills proficient with Microsoft Office, Project and financial reporting programs.
