Do you have experience of continuous improvement and/or lean?

If the answers to these questions are yes, we\'d love to hear from you!  You may not have done formal change projects before, but a lot of the skills we’re looking for are transferable. You’ll be excellent at data analysis, highly organised, a great team-player, and very eager to learn.  Come join our team and help to make a real difference.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use these skills within the BBC Spark team, which is dedicated to helping staff at the BBC think differently about what they do, how they do it and change it for the better. Spark uses lean transformation tools and techniques to help teams deliver even better value for money for licence payers and meet new audience and digital challenges.  We’ll help you develop your current skills and develop towards UK industry-standard lean accreditation.

We are recruiting for a Projects and Change Analyst to join our team.  The role will be based in London or Salford but project location can vary which may mean some travel.

Main Responsibilities

You will be working on projects as part of a joint team with staff from the area undergoing the change (e.g. programme makers) and other Spark colleagues. You will be an ambassador for the department and a crucial part of your role will working with colleagues and stakeholders to accurately interpret and present data in interesting, innovative, visual ways.

Following our Spark approach for projects, which is based on the Lean method, you will use different techniques to help develop solutions.  You will be working in Microsoft Office applications regularly and producing high quality work in PowerPoint and Excel to a variety of audiences.

This role will also give you experience for implementing some elements of the project working with other team members.  You will be organising and facilitating workshops, making sure all attendees are able to contribute constructively and making sure outputs are captured by the Spark team.

Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate will offer strong data analysis skills, be very competent in Excel and PowerPoint, and possess an understanding of organisational dynamics, operational change and projects.

Strong communication skills are essential and you will have the ability to use a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information. You will also be an excellent problem solver, offering the right balance of creativity and pragmatism, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and instigate positive change to achieve business goals.

Experience of lean and Spark would be an advantage.  All applicants should demonstrate a passion for the BBC.
