Description

Robert Half is partnered with a growing construction organization located in the Etobicoke area who is looking to hire a Project Accounting Clerk to their team. This is a new full time permanent position with the organization that offers great benefits and growth. As the Project Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for;

• Process vendor invoices, code invoices and prepare EFT and Cheque payments
• Set up new vendors in the system and handle vendor inquiries
• Vendor statement reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliations
• Process accounts receivable; invoicing customers, recording payments in Jonas
• Support Project Managers in generating monthly progress draws
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare payroll related remittances; WSIB,EHT etc.
• Support the Controller with Month End close; journal entries, account reconciliation

Requirements

• Post secondary education in accounting or related preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and supporting month end procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adept in Excel; knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups
• Experience with Jonas or other construction software highly desired
• Experience in construction industry highly desired
