The Safety, Risk Intelligence and Shared Services engineering team is a high performing group within the Protective Services organization. We drive and own key services that bolster Microsoft’s Digital Safety, Case and Evidence Management, Data & Risk functions. This technical program manager role will be integral in our work; helping to define and document future service capabilities that will make Microsoft the industry leader in this space.

We’re looking for a PM professional to help build and drive rigor in our SRE and key planning activities.

Responsibilities

SRE Attributes:

 

  • Drive efforts to identify and recommend improvements in solution configurations, reliability and performance of Risk Intelligence services.
  • Have a solid command of our architecture, features, and operations; to implement improvements in service reliability, and performance.
  • Share learnings and recommendations across engineering teams within Risk Intelligence.
  • Leverage technical expertise and system telemetry data to Identify contributing factors or points of failure affecting our solution(s); identifying ways to maximize performance of our key services.
  • Drive the RoB with engineering teams, and coordinate/drive real-time incident responses when RIS service performance fall out of SLA tolerance.
  • Must be familiar and experienced with SAFE, Agile and other key software development and support methodologies and frameworks.
  • Actively participate in the larger SRE community to leverage and share best practices.

Planning Attributes:

 

  • Manage  and coordinate rhythm of business (ROB), including business reviews, technical reviews, semester planning to help the business and technology development run smoothly and effectively.
  • Drive operational Excellence across the organization, planning, implementing, and monitoring of services.
  • Help coordinate organization wide strategic initiatives and change management projects.
  • Manage organization performance monitoring and reporting to stated goals; maintain comprehensive OKRs for team.
  • Participate and help lead resource management discussions and planning efforts.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of experience in IT Industry
  • Demonstrated ability to solve business problems and able to explain the benefits to the customer ranging from business values to mastering deep technical explanations
  • Experience in Team Leadership, working with project management/project stakeholders and pre-sales activities 
  • Demonstrable experience of working face to face at varying levels within organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
