Responsibilities

• Product area –Azure Synapse is being used by some of the largest enterprises in the world. You will help us deliver a fast, flexible and performant storage layer for our customers.  Define the vision, roadmap, and KPIs for customer and business success.
• Engineering engagement – Close partnership with engineering to understand technical trade-offs to successfully influence product design.
• Prioritizing – Relentless prioritizing across several competing objectives to make the optimal use of time and resources.
• Customer development - In person and virtual interviews to understand users, priorities and scenarios customers are trying to implement.
• Product and market strategy – Researching market segments, assessing competitive differentiation, creating decision frameworks, formulating hypotheses and advocating direction.
• Launch and evangelism – Create product demos and other technical sales tools; develop conference presentations and other collateral to highlight capabilities.
• Sales support – Enable our field and directly support key opportunities.
• Organizational leadership – Actively engage with Microsoft field teams as well as external partners, communities, and customers to capture feedback on gaps and opportunities that factor into future development periods.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years professional experience in product design or product management.
• 3+ years' experience with Data Warehousing in a product management, consulting, technology or support role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Embrace diversity of thoughts and backgrounds and lead others to do the same.
• Technical SQL Server engine experience.
• Experience working on non-Microsoft data warehouse platforms including appliance form factors or cloud data warehouses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated, highly entrepreneurial, and comfortable with ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Power BI (other Data, Analytics and Data Science technical skills encouraged).
• College degree (MBA/Masters preferred) or equivalent.
• Project management experience.
