The Teams organization has the charter of helping our Microsoft 365 customers have access to everything they need in one workspace.

 

This role is in the Teams Quality and Customer Obsession (QCO) organization’s team – think of an engineer meets program manager in a customer facing role. You should be curious about quality, usage, data and how to extract valuable and useful information from surveys, telemetry as well as process direct user feedback to derive insights and help highlight feature health. Microsoft is doubling down on ensuring we ship the highest quality releases to our customers. 

Responsibilities

As a member of the team you will:  

  • Build a state-of-the-art Teams customer pre-release engagement program
  • Have a deep understanding and curiosity about the collaboration and communications space and its evolution.
  • Engage with our customers and early adopters throughout the lifecycle of product development to collect their feedback. Connect customer feedback with ongoing product evolution in the industry and help influence the product direction and roadmap.
  • Build thorough customer validation plans for features and new products.
  • Review feedback from all customers in your program and partner with engineering teams to drive the fixes before we ship to millions of users. Help prioritize feature backlogs.
  • Partner with rest of the quality organization in driving trending and critical feedback to timely resolution.
  • Enable others in Microsoft to be successful by always partnering with them without any boundaries.
  • Take a programmatic approach to solve any problem and in the process build new programs that help scale the work we do.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer Science, Telecommunications or related technical discipline or equivalent experience working in the field of software development.
  • 4+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong customer and product empathy.
  • Natural sense of curiosity regarding data, metrics and usage patterns.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with changing priorities.
  • The kind of person who asks questions, drills down, and asks more questions.
  • Excellent cross group collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a software test engineering role a plus.
  • Proven skills and experience in gathering, analyzing and reporting on telemetry data a plus. 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
