A fantastic and high impact opportunity for a CR Analyst - Plastics & Packaging has become available within the Corporate Responsibility team of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury, NSW. This is a full time permanent position.
As a CR Analyst in the Plastics & Packaging space, you will be a key player in supporting our commitment to reduce plastic packaging and improve packaging sustainability across our own-branded products. The successful candidate will be passionate about environmental sustainability and will have a keen eye for data and actionable insights. The successful candidate will drive change as an expert on packaging sustainability and project management, helping guide the business towards the achievement of our ambitious 2025 plastics and packaging commitments.

Selection criteria:
Demonstrated project management experience
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience
Demonstrated experience in packaging, sustainability and/or environmental reporting
Ability to communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to apply sustainability principles and concepts in a business environment
Strong reporting and analytical skills
High level of attention to detail and ability to work to a deadline
Demonstrated passion for sustainability
Tertiary qualifications in packaging-related topics, sustainability or environmental management highly regarded
Experience with APCO reporting requirements and/or PREP tool desirable
Role Responsibilities:
Coordinate the business strategy on plastics and packaging in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to drive change
Provide thought leadership on business opportunities and risks related to packaging
Conduct data analysis and prepare and present subsequent reports internally and externally
Develop tools for buying teams and suppliers that embed sustainability in business decisions and facilitate packaging improvements
Manage packaging improvement and recycling projects in close partnership with buying teams, suppliers and packaging providers
Provide advice and recommendations in relation to plastic, packaging and recycling initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Design and deliver training to internal and external stakeholders on plastics and packaging
Monitor, develop and implement legislative and organizational policies, guidelines and processes to ensure compliance
Engage with Corporate Responsibility International (CRI) and other ALDI countries on plastics & packaging topics
