The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
We have a fixed term (up to 18 months) full time Program Delivery Officer Opportunity based in Wollongong to be a part of an innovative team that delivers for our regional customers and communities.
The role will report to Manager Program Delivery within South Region. The opportunity is based within our Network and Assets branch.
The Program Delivery Officer assists in the development and delivery of nominated Road Safety and Traffic Management programs and projects in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope requirements. Using your project management skills, a key focus of this role will be contributing to the development and delivery of the $20m Kings Highway and $20m Monaro Highway Upgrade Programs.
While flexible work is supported, the role requires site inspections and face to face contact with key stakeholders. Ideally, you’ll be based in south region and must be willing to work from the Wollongong office on an as needs basis. The role will also require travelling to different offices/sites within South region, requiring overnight stays . Applicants must hold a current driver’s licence and be prepared to drive throughout the region.
Some of the key accountabilities will include:
Interface between delivery agents and other client agents to ensure engagement and delivery of agreed Traffic and Road Safety programs and projects.
Ensure that the nominated infrastructure programs and associated projects are developed and delivered to the required time, cost, scope and quality outcomes.
Ensuring project status reporting, forecasting and milestones are kept maintained
Promote accountabilities for each nominated program and associated projects in terms of best practice in project management, WHS, community engagement and environment assessment and are in accordance with TfNSW policies and guidelines.
Coordinate the development and delivery of nominated minor infrastructure programs and associated projects to ensure the scope and project outcomes provide value for money and fulfil the agreed road safety and traffic outcomes.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
• Understanding of Project Management
• Experience in Road Safety, Traffic and/or Civil Engineering projects.
• Understanding of Safer Systems for review of projects
• Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of projects
• Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage the development and construction of several related projects including the management strategies for community involvement, WH&S, environment and quality.
• Demonstrated experience in the use and application of computerised techniques for project and information management with the ability to produce project status reports, excel & SAP highly regarded
• Business writing skills
• Interpersonal skills with ability to communicate, consult and negotiate

Salary and Benefits
