AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Compensation & Talent Acquisition, this position provides program and administrative support to the Compensation & Benefits team within Human Resources, assisting in day-to-day duties. Ensures effective delivery of services and responds to general inquiries received by the section.

Respond to customer inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services, and escalates to appropriate City staff as required

Assist and collaborate on the sectional programs and special projects

Provide administrative support including physical and electronic filing, preparing memos and formatting reports

Maintain records, documentation, and prepare reports as required

Process online forms and provide support on sectional workflow procedures

Assist with data entry and tracking, and maintain data integrity

Maintain an understanding of department programs and services

Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards

Attend meetings/training as required

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Working towards a degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting or a similar discipline, or have a related experience or interest;

Demonstrated working knowledge of Human Resources specific principles

Effective customer service skills and communication skills

Effective time management and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
