We are currently on the lookout for a Production Planner to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.

Key Responsibilities:

Working within the team the Planner has the key responsibility for providing support for both their Customers and Suppliers to ensure that materials and assemblies are manufactured and delivered on time in full to the promised delivery date. Specifically, the role is responsible for:

  • Inputting / managing orders and promise dates on E1 System to support final assembly line (FAL) with accurate status Information and on time deliveries against original promise dates or customer request dates
  • Daily planning of FAL requirements to ensure that they are made in the quickest time possible.
  • Cross functional working to ensure OTD against OPD (Original Promise Date) including expediting parts from in house and outsourced areas, making sure they are booked in on time, passed through the receipt routing process, kitted into assemblies with no shortages, delivered into the shipping area and dispatched.
  • Maintaining E1 stock accuracy.
  • Producing non-conformance reports where appropriate and taking the NCR process through to completion.
  • Taking ownership of and resolving order, shipment and or invoice queries.

Key Requirements:

  • A familiarity of Data Entry Systems and spreadsheets
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Effective reporting, oral and written communication skills at all levels
  • Good team working skills and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
