With the acquisition of a new production facility that will enable in-house fabrication, they now required an experienced Production Manager to lead both production and installation of their range of kitchen and bathroom products.

What will you be doing?
Here you will the reins of a small production, specialised production facility, leading a team of high performing and competent operators, while also having the authority to implement improvements as you identify them.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the team and ensuring productivity efficiencies and improvements are achieved.
- Delivery of financial and operational KPI’s for the factory.
- Coaching and upskilling your team.
- Leading site environmental compliance, health, and safety.
- Working alongside the sales and supply teams to ensure service expectations are met in a safe and timely manner.
- Overseeing, planning and project scheduling so that customers receive their orders in full, on time and in spec.
- Coordinating and/or supervising the installation of finished product at customers’ sites.
- Developing and implementing production strategies and capital requirements which maximise the long-term profitability and sustainability of the business.
- Create and manage R&M plans for all production machinery.
Who are we looking for?
- You’ll bring significant production leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. There is flexibility regarding your industry experience, however a background in kitchen benchtops, tile installation, bespoke glass fabrication (eg balustrades), kitchen / bathroom cabinetry, or shop fittings would all be appropriate.
- You have excellent leadership and people management skills.
- You’ll be comfortable working in a cross functional environment where you’ll be able to build strong relationships with your colleagues.
- You’re comfortable with change and have a strong sense of resilience. This is a make to order environment, so the ability to work under pressure is important.
- You communicate well, both in writing and face-to-face.
- You bring proven experience in production planning and scheduling.
- You have the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives including improving health & safety outcomes.
- You’re great at trouble shooting and resolving challenges both positively and effectively.
- You’re a confident adapter of technology and are proficient at using computers and related software
