BBC Studios is the main TV production arm of the BBC. It is a major supplier of high quality content and the source of many creative and inspiring programmes. The Production Management Assistant Talent Pool is an exciting opportunity for candidates to express their interest in working within our teams in our Documentary and Science Units in London. We are the makers of programmes such as The Planets, Climate Change: The Facts, The Surgeon’s Cut, Thatcher: A Very British Revolution, Big Narstie’s Big Adventure in Jamaica and The Met.
As a PMA in Factual you will working in partnership with the editorial team. Reporting to the Production Co-ordinator or Production Manager you will provide day-to-day logistical and financial support to the production in a busy and fast-moving environment.
We’re looking for candidates who possess excellent organisational and communication skills, problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude, who work well within a team.
We want to hear from a diverse range of people with varying experience at Production Management Assistant or Production Secretary level within content making areas.
Candidates who are successful in the recruitment process will be placed in our Production Management Assistant pool and will be offered work as and when opportunities arise during peak business periods across our Factual output in London. Appointment to the pool will not entitle candidates to a permanent contract in the BBC, those will have to be applied for in the normal way, and neither does it guarantee work.
Due to the Covid19 outbreak and restrictions around social distancing this role would entail working from home until the office re-opens.
