What you’ll do:

•  Manage the Factual productions and oversee the full slate alongside the Director of Factual and editorial teams 

• Working hand in hand with Production Operations, ensure delivery in line with Sky and Sky Studios policies, protocols, compliance and business requirements

•  Show strong leadership within the Factual team and contribute to strategic discussions

•  Negotiate deals with key talent, creatives and production suppliers 

• Build budgets and production schedules covering development to delivery 

• Oversee production, risk management and reporting of Sky Studios Factual titles

• Work with the Business Affairs, Legal and Commercial teams to align the rights and distribution position on each project

• Take an active role in Sky Studios contribution to wider industry initiatives; manage delivery in line with key industry policies and working practices

• Key supporter, contributor and communicator of Sky Studios Responsible Production initiatives including D&I, sustainability and safeguarding

• Sit side by side with the creative editorial team, working with them at every stage to enable the creative process to flourish fully 

• Examine and analyse submitted project specific documents and paperwork; report in line with Exec, Finance and wider business requirements  

• Work alongside co-production partners and Sky Studios owned production companies as required. 

• Internally lead the greenlight process and documentation 

• Be a well-connected ambassador for the Sky Studios brand and to reflect its cultural values 

• This person will be passionate about their work and work ethos 

• Become part of a new, exciting, department within Sky Studios

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in managing high-end Factual/Documentary productions from development to delivery 

• Very strong leadership, negotiation and organisational skills

• Established skills to lead a team of robust characters and collaboratively achieve the best out of their skills

• Excellent contacts and deep knowledge of packaging first-class production talent 

• Experience and in depth knowledge of budgeting and industry agreements

• A proven background in understanding factual and documentary budgets

•  A demonstrable ability to juggle several projects and multi-task

•  A strategic and ambitious mindset, with energy and drive
