Job Description
The role of Production Coordinator is to address, prevent and manage any issues arising throughout each shift that threaten to halt or delay production, including the management of staff, allocation of resources, recording, maintenance of a safe and secure environment, personnel concerns and quality troubleshooting.
Your responsibilities include:
- Responsible for all aspects of PVC and PE extrusion operations. This includes, but is not limited to, raw materials, product quality, production KPIs and financial performance target achievement and staff performance.
- Responsible for coordinating all facets of the shift extrusion operations. Developing the capability of your shift team to meet the production schedule.
- Ensuring the manufacture of PVC and PE pipes is done safely, effectively, efficiently and at minimum cost, whilst maintaining high levels of quality and meeting customer requirements.
- Providing support to extrusion operators and supervisors, playing a key role in their development of competence and experience in extrusion operations, safety and quality practices and effective teamwork.
- Providing relief for Southern Region Manufacturing Manager as required.
- Taking lead role in continuous improvement projects and initiatives to improve the running of the shift, site and operation of the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in Team Leader/Supervisor/Manufacturing management role
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated and advanced competence in extrusion operation and troubleshooting ability
- High attention to safety and environmental standards and requirements
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve productivity goals
- Experience in managing personnel related concerns
