Verizon Connect provides GPS enabled fleet management and tracking products that help businesses reduce fleet costs, increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction.

Our best-in-class solutions deliver a comprehensive set of capabilities including real-time mapping, detailed activity reports, email alerts and more.

All delivered through an easy-to-use web or mobile interface.

We have an immediate need for a Product Owner to develop valuable additions to our growing suite of products. You will be responsible for clearly defining the next generation software for our fleet management solutions by working with (and leading) cross-functional teams to define and ensure the success of our fleet management products.

You will need to be self-directed, collaborative and able to cultivate strong relationships with teams and partners.

  • Collaborating within your cross-functional team to produce market leading user experiences, which solve customer needs and market problems.
  • Writing Agile based Epics / Stories that conform to best practices, including acceptance criteria, positive and negative paths, etc.
  • Managing product backlog, prioritizing feature development, supporting execution plans and ensuring that the developed product is quality assured following the OEM / IOT roadmap.
  • Partnering with Product Managers, Development, UX, Installation and Deployment teams, to understand customer needs and envision new product solutions.
  • Incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners and teams on product requirements.
  • Ensuring products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule. Gathering customer feedback, running advisory sessions, UAT sessions and measuring / managing NPS post launch.
  • Performing in-depth data analysis to understand product performance / uptime / usage post launch.
  • Identifying root cause of product issues and manage customer expectations.
  • Synthesizing your own analysis and succinct recommendations for a path forward.
  • Partnering on product documentation during the Go-to-Market process for new features.
  • Operating in a highly matrixed, globally distributed organization.
  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Effectively communicating the roadmaps, product plans, project status updates and timelines to internal stakeholder teams in order to ensure alignment and cross-group readiness.
  • Assisting with other product management responsibilities as needed.

Where you'll be working :

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have :

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience of serving as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or Project Manager within a technical environment.
  • Experience of working in an Agile & Lean / Kanban product development environment, interacting with both Hardware and Software development processes.

Even better if you have :

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, or extensive practical experience working with IOT solutions.
  • Experience in creating superior user experiences specifically for Mobile & Web based products.
  • Experience of working with Telematics.
  • Experience of API (Application Programming Interface) or Microservice specification.
  • Experience of performing data queries in databases and validating data quality.
  • Experience of working with SQL.
  • Experience of working in an SOA environment.
  • Knowledge of modern software development technologies and languages.
