About the team
The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to help to shape the future of ticketing within NSW and transform the way customers book and pay for services to provide them with a seamless journey across the state!
Reporting to the Director, Products and Solutions, you will be responsible for providing strategic product direction on a multi-million dollar program to transform the NSW electronic ticketing system with future-proof solutions with a seamless customer transition. Focusing on best-in-class solutions across government and globally and working with internal and external partners, you will design roadmaps that ensure that there is a coherent and connected journey experience across NSW, prioritising delivery on the greatest customer needs.
Some of the accountabilities:
Create the customer and TfNSW vision for the next generation of account-based ticketing and payments in NSW and communicate and evangelise it internally and among the wider community
Build and maintain an effective product roadmap, prioritising outcomes and using insights to support decision making and provide product direction to the program
Identify OKRs and key success metrics for the program
Work with the Product team to share improvements and best practices and ensure our digital product suite supports the roadmap and remain best in class.

About you
You have a demonstrated experience in product management ideally with substantial previous payments related experience. You might have worked with banking payment systems or ticketing systems. You are passionate in developing superior value propositions and have successful track record in delivering complex programs that involve effective collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders across the enterprise. You enjoy working in an agile environment, driving a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and best practice.
In addition, you have superior stakeholder management skills, including developing and maintaining strong working relationships with specialist resources, project management teams, and the wider TfNSW community to establish innovative product roadmaps. You will have the ability to drive a high-performance culture across the business and be comfortable collaborating with industry parties and stakeholders, effectively managing their expectations.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time fixed term role for 12 months with the expectations of the appointment being extended further, a Transport Senior Service TSSE1A level role offering an attractive remuneration package.
