“I have fallen in love with The Forum on the World Service…like watching waterfalls; spectacular, slightly scary, utterly exhilarating. In short, very World Service.†(Gillian Reynolds, Sunday Times)
Each week The Forum brings together leading experts from around the world to share with us their knowledge – demystifying the key concepts and people in history, science, culture and ideas.
The Forum has turned its lens on a variety of subjects from ‘the Bard of Bengal’ Rabindranath Tagore and the forgotten French revolutionary heroine Olympe de Gouges to Hawaii’s national instrument the ukulele, and unravelling the extraordinary history of knitting.
We are looking for a creative audio producer who has a passion for world history and the flair and journalistic expertise to deliver that in an accessible and appealing way to a young international audience.
The Forum is part of a unit that makes a variety of programmes for World Service English — including The Conversation, The Fifth Floor and Outlook.
