BBC Bitesize is the UK’s most recommended free education resource. The Bitesize curriculum teams make world-class digital learning content to help learners aged 4 to 16+ in their studies and serve a diverse range of students around the UK.
BBC Bitesize is looking for a Producer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of Bitesize. You will be managing internal production teams and working with internal and external partners, delivering media-rich and interactive content for the target audiences. Producers work on a variety of projects across their career with us. You will lead teams in the delivery of: Primary, Secondary (KS3 and GCSE) and post-16 topics and subjects; and our Formats and Features editorial developments team.
You will have experience in creating digital learning content for the audience, a sound knowledge of the UK curricula, an ability to manage multiple projects to schedule and budget, practical experience of digital and interactive production and development, and excellent line management skills.
You will have excellent editorial skills, including the ability to communicate complex and contentious subjects to young people with accuracy and to work with specialist educational consultants. You will also have experience of managing external suppliers, budgets and using audience insight and metrics. Key to the role is planning and scheduling, line-managing & developing staff and ensuring content is accurate, engaging and compliant.
Please note: this role requires a relevant DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
