Te Puna Rangatōpū | Corporate Group delivers well-connected, efficient and effective corporate services that enable our people to do their best work every day. The essential services, support, tools and resources we provide help make the Ministry a great place to work.

The Procurement Division sits within Te Puna Rangatōpū and is part of the wider procurement community that works across the Ministry of Education and the Education Sector. There are several procurement teams within the Procurement Division supporting different parts of the Ministry's operations.

 

About the role

The following role is being recruited for within the Education Services procurement team:

  • Procurement Specialist (permanent)

The Education Services procurement team focuses on the procurement of goods and services that develop and support the national curriculum and help schools to deliver the national curriculum and qualifications.

The Procurement Specialist role is responsible for running non-complex tender processes, including developing documentation, managing the tender process through to award of contracts and management of smaller contracts/specialist areas, and working alongside other members of the team on complex procurement activities. The salary range for this role is $77,966 - $95,292

To be effective in this role, you will have a passion for procurement and are keen to pursue a career in this field. You will also have:

  • 2 -3 years experience in a procurement related position;
  • experience in the Microsoft Office suite of applications;
  • experience and knowledge of the Public Sector procurement environment, including the Government Procurement Rules; and
  • eligible or working towards Certificate Membership (Level 3) of CIPS and/or a relevant tertiary qualification.
