Our client has an expert team of more than 700 individuals. From technicians and engineers to network architects, security analysts, cloud migration experts and more all of whom are passionate about technology.

The Role:

This role will ensure high performing maritime platforms and systems by developing and maintaining asset lifecycle renewal, remedial and maintenance strategies with the internal teams and relevant suppliers across New Zealand and Australia. You would also assist the Networks team with core lifecycle upgrade and asset management tasks.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • The management, auditing and co-ordination of the maritime assets' procurement, deployment, refresh, replacement, and retirement of assets throughout their life-cycle operation and systems performance.
  • Manage the assets and licences for safety of life utilities in NZ and AU 
  • Managing vendor agreements regarding support and licence contracts for these assets.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with vendors related to Maritime network to ensure the company and maritime’s requirements are met
  • Support the maritime engineering team for future projects and implementations
  • Use relevant data and processes to provide analysis of the asset performance and draw logical conclusions and provide high quality recommendations to mitigate asset risks.

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will be a highly skilled procurement professional with experience in a medium/large manufacturing-based corporate environment.

You will also have:

  • A minimum 5+ years experience in asset management, risk assessment and risk mitigation 
  •  Project and Program Management experience 
  • Experience in budgeting and handling of commercial terms is desired
  • Tertiary qualification in either procurement, supply chain, information technology, electronics / telecommunication engineering or business management.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate, lead and coordinate problems to resolution
