About the Team
TalkTalk Procurement is an exciting, central function managing third party spend across all Business Units. We are a small, dynamic and busy team, split by key categories of indirect and direct spend and we often find the biggest opportunities by working together. We work collaboratively with the business to really focus on the priorities where we add the most value, sometimes to meet short term needs but mostly to deliver on an overall strategy to meet business goals.
About the Role
You will lead on all sourcing activity for your specific area of spend (in this case Media and Marketing) and will interface with all stakeholders in their strategic critical business function to source requirements from new and existing vendors via contract renewals, extensions, amendments and/or full detailed competitive, multi-vendor process using our procurement tools.
You will also get involved in the following activity:
Working autonomously to establish your pipeline of work, agreeing all routes to market and confirming alignment to the TalkTalk roadmap
Involvement in all procurement projects within your assigned category
Full and detailed spend and budget review
Pipeline planning and maintaining for all requirements
Using and maintaining the procurement engagement tracker, contract database and sourcing tools for their area of spend
Applying the category management principles, whilst focusing on priorities
About You
In order to be successful in this role, you will be an established and experienced Category Manager with well rounded experience within Media and Marketing as well other category experience. Experience within a telco or tech business would also be advantageous. You will also:
Be a commercial deal maker
Have strong stakeholder management
Have experience of spend and budget analysis
Be used to working with category workload planning and procurement data and tools
Be a strong collaborator
