About this role

The asset assurance programme is essential to maintaining Openreach’s 4.1 million poles and is key to ensuring the safety of our engineers and the public

The role holder will be responsible for redesigning, mapping and improving policy processes across Openreach. They will ensure all processes are standardised, current and simple to use allowing our teams to consistently deliver good performance, meet customers expectations, satisfy audit requirements and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Provide process subject matter expertise to support central process design authority as the business process expert.
  • Support process assurance across the entire build delivery chain including  – this includes process development, process compliance, process governance and in life process management.
  • Maintain all documented process swimlanes, SIPOC, RACI and MOP documentation through regular reviews and updates with process design authority.
  • Identify best practice process and procedures across build programmes and ensure changes are discussed and cascaded into teams, to drive adoption and compliance in operational teams.
  • Undertake compliance checks for process usage across relevant teams and where gaps identified recommend and deliver actions to improve compliance.
  • Work with counterparts to drive compliance to Openreach process standards such that we meet and where possible exceed audit requirements.
  • Support the design of new processes and procedures in line with transformation activity (inc. system releases).
  • Introduce benchmarks across partners/regions and use these to guide decisions, update processes, and identify risks.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Programme and project management
  • Commercial thinker
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Data literate – must be able to take data to understand focus areas and drive programme
  • Customer focused
  • ARIS toolset and modelling, BPM Certificate/Diploma, eTOM frameworks.
  • 6-sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience desirable
  • Process Optimisation experience
  • Business Process Management, design and implementation.
  • Excellent understanding and use of analytical tools, techniques and behaviours.
  • The ability to simplify and explain complex scenarios to key stakeholders.
  • Experience of influencing at a senior level. 
  • High level of commercial awareness and business acumen.
