We are a NZ pet food manufacturing business specialising in freeze dried pet food. To support our global growth plans and 24/7 manufacturing plant, we are looking to expand our team.

Daily duties required during each shift:

• Emptying and loading of freeze dryer 
• Traying up of proteins for freeze dryer 
• Bulk packing
• Before the end of each shift: washing down production room, machines, trays etc 
• Retail packing (as required)
• Packing for export orders (as required)

Other Duties include:

• Knife hand skills as needed for dicing pet treats
• Loading proteins into mechanical dicer

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proactive self starting attitude 
• Accuracy and speed with an eye for detail
• Physically fit as the job requires heavy lifting (up to 25kgs) & prolonged periods of standing you will be on your feet all day
• Hardworking, reliable and honest
• Flexibility and not afraid to jump in where needed, fun, friendly team player is of importance, attitude preferred over experience
• Great communication skills
• Awareness of the importance of food safety processes & personal hygiene as we are a food grade facility
• Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks

Hours

Tuesday 9am-3pm

Thursday 9am - 3pm

Sunday 9am-3pm

There may be some flexibility to the days so if the above doesn't quite suit we may be able to accomodate. Please mention this in your email when applying.

Fixed part time work may become available to the right candidate.

We are considered an essential service in pet food production so we remain operational during the NZ Covid-19 levels. Full Vaccination is essential. Full PPE gear including hair nets, gloves & aprons etc are needed to be worn in processing areas (these will be provided).
