About this role

 

Digico is a key initiative to provide attractive and competitive products with an excellent customer experience through the development of new IT support systems and innovative features and pricing through Agile development methods.  

As a Procedure Writer within DigiCo, you will work closely with Process Designers in the development of detailed procedures and knowledge articles for specific business capabilities. These procedures will be implemented at scale across a globally distributed organisation and will play a critical role in embedding new processes and tooling into BT Global as part of the launch of new products and services.

You will drive discipline and rigour into the definition of each procedure, and work closely with sales and service operational teams to continuously refine and embed the defined processes and work instructions. You will work as part of a matrixed teams of functional analysts, architects, and process designers to drive clarity and understanding of the “how” for a business capability in DigiCo.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Produce, maintain and evolve knowledge articles for process component blocks in DigiCo

Work with the knowledge manager to secure publication

Work with the process designer to evolve and maintain knowledge articles in line with the roadmap

Work with acceptance into service teams to define training and embed new process/procedure

Validate and refine procedures based on continuous input from process designers and functional analysts

Work with the delivery/engineering teams to understand the details of individual tools and technologies which underpin the procedures

Work with CX/UX teams to gain insight of the personas the procedures apply to.

Deliver procedures in accordance with implementation timelines and in the cadence of the Agile Release Train, managing dependencies with process design and engineering

Work with the operation stakeholders and proposition service designers for in life updates to procedures and work instructions

Proactively manage a backlog of work against the priorities set by the business capability teams and process design leads

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Time management

Comfortable working with distributed teams in a collaborative and flexible fashion

Able to cope with ambiguity

Attention to detail

Knowledge of current industry standards for technical writing, appropriate English grammar and usage, and editing and proofreading symbols

Excellent oral and written communication skills with understanding of the intended audience

Knowledge of agile development methodologies and lifecycles

Problem solving and creative thinking aptitude. 

Customer (user) centric approach

Experience you would be expected to have

Demonstrated experience of technical writing experience

Demonstrabe experience of business process modelling, analysis and design

Experience working with core process methodologies, notiations and tools (e.g. BPMN, ARIS )

Expereience of mapping core business processes for large-scale telecommunications organisations
